Day 12: Glencoe to Loch Ness.
Currently (10pm) sat on the shores of Loch Ness, watching a
beautiful sunset, and hoping that the lashings of deet fend off
the midgies. We've done 59 miles since leaving the Glencoe Youth
Hostel under an overcast sky this morning.
Stopped for a while at Fort William, where the sun came out, but later got our first taste of cycling in heavy rain.
From there we've cycled up the Caledonian Canal, overtaking a boat on the way - no it wasn't stationary in a lock, it was travelling up a loch.!! (webmaster's note, if you can say that properly, yer no a sassenach)
Weather has improved as the day has gone on.
Tomorrow's stay at Carbisdale YH is under threat - they seem to be fully booked. But we're not camping out to be eaten by midgies, so might be a B&B. 'Til then
